Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 9, 2026 · Last Updated: April 9, 2026
1. Overview
Diver ("we," "our," or "us") provides analytics and reporting tools that help businesses understand website and marketing performance. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Diver application ("Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Business customers processing personal data on behalf of their end users should also review our Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which governs Diver's role as a data processor. A downloadable copy is available here.
2. Information We Collect
Diver collects limited information necessary to operate the Service.
a) Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Organization or company name
b) Analytics Data
When you connect external platforms to Diver, we may collect performance and usage data from those platforms, including:
- Website traffic metrics
- Session and event data
- Conversion and revenue metrics
- Campaign and advertising performance data
- Search performance data
- Aggregated user interaction data
This data is collected only after you explicitly authorize access.
c) Technical Information
We may automatically collect:
- IP address
- Device and browser type
- Log data and usage activity
- Authentication and session metadata
This information is used solely for security, reliability, and system performance.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide analytics and reporting functionality
- Synchronize and process connected data sources
- Improve product performance and reliability
- Detect, prevent, and investigate security issues
- Provide customer support
- Comply with legal obligations
What we do not do with your data
Diver does not sell user data, does not use Google data for advertising, and does not transfer it to third parties other than infrastructure subprocessors (hosting, database) that act on our behalf under contract.
4. Data Sources and Integrations
Diver may connect to third-party platforms that you authorize, including:
- Google Analytics
- Google Ads
- Google Search Console
Diver accesses only the data necessary to provide reporting and analysis functionality.
Disconnecting an integration
You can disconnect any integration at any time from the Settings area inside the Diver application. When you disconnect a source:
- The OAuth refresh token for that source is immediately revoked, so Diver can no longer access the underlying platform.
- All data synced from that source — including raw rows, derived metrics, and cached reports — is deleted from Diver's systems.
- Future syncs for that source stop running.
You may also revoke Diver's access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
5. Data Storage and Security
We implement commercially reasonable safeguards to protect data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission
- Secure authentication controls
- Access restriction policies
- Regular system monitoring
No system can guarantee absolute security. However, we take reasonable steps to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
6. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Service
- Maintain historical reporting functionality
- Comply with legal and contractual obligations
Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings area, or by emailing us at [email protected].
When you delete your account, all stored Google data — including data synced from Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Search Console — is permanently deleted from Diver's systems within 30 days. OAuth refresh tokens for all connected sources are revoked immediately so no further data can be accessed.
Backup snapshots created in the normal course of operating the Service are purged on their normal rotation cycle and are never used to restore deleted account data.
7. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of your data.
Diver processes and stores data solely to provide analytics, reporting, and optimization functionality.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and APIs. These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
9. Cookies & Tracking
The Diver marketing site uses essential cookies and a small amount of analytics tracking after you've accepted via the cookie banner. You can decline at any time using the same banner.
10. Your Rights
You may:
- Request access to your data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account
- Revoke integration permissions
- Stop using the Service at any time
To make a request, contact us at [email protected].
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted within the Service with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
